This course will provide a series of CPD sessions for physics teachers in Scotland, focused on developing subject-specific pedagogical knowledge.
Sessions will focus on topic such as cognitive load theory; effective questioning; effective feedback; effective use of practical work; physics specific literacy; physics specific numeracy; etc.
Each month there will be a small amount of pre-reading followed by an online session where we will discuss the reading, share key take-aways and ideas about how it might inform our practice. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to those who successfully complete the short course.
